Cheese Strudel with Herbs Lemon Sauce

Lurpak Butter is baked into every layer of this Three Cows Cheese-stuffed strudel. The rich, savory flavors are brightened with an herbed lemon sauce and garnished with walnuts and fresh spinach leaves.

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 75 grams Lurpak Butter
  • 50 grams chopped green onions
  • 70 grams olive oil
  • 500 grams Three Cows White Cheese 
  • 125 grams Three Cows Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 250 grams spinach
  • A dash of white pepper
  • A dash of oregano
  • 50 grams nuts
  • 750 grams of baklava paste

For the garnishing:

  • Spinach leaves
  • Walnuts

Herbal lemon sauce:

  • Mustard
  • Lemon
  • Oil
  • Olives
  • Mint
  • Parsley
  • Basil
  • Fenne
  • Pepper
  • Salt

Directions

STEP 1
Heat the oven to 210˚C.      
 
STEP 2
Smear the oven's tray with Lurpak Butter. STEP 3 Fry the green onion in oil. Add the spinach.      
 
STEP 4
Mix all the ingredients with the onions and set them aside.      
 
STEP 5
Smear each layer of dough with butter and cover with it a rectangular oven dish. Sprinkle it with nuts.
 
STEP 6
Stuff the dough with Three Cows Mozzarella Cheese, Three Cows White Cheese and spinach, and then wrap it up and bake it for 40 minutes.
 
STEP 7
To make the herbal lemon sauce, mix all the ingredients in the blender.
 
Garnish

 Turn down the strudel dish on a serving dish and garnish with walnuts, spinach leaves.
