Four Cheese Lasagna
with Kiri ®

It’s a cheese-lover’s dream. A special béchamel cheese sauce made with Kiri squares, mozzarella, ricotta and grated parmesan is layered over noodles, tomatoes and fresh basil, then baked to perfection.

Serves 6

Ingredients

  • 1 big cup of canned tomatoes with basil
  • 1 box of lasagna noodles
  • Béchamel cheese sauce

For the béchamel sauce:

  • 10 Kiri squares
  • 2 cups of mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup of ricotta cheese
  • 3/4 cup of grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 litre of milk
  • 1 cup of liquid cream
  • 1/4 cup of flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Salt to taste 

 

Directions

STEP 1
To prepare the béchamel sauce, mix the milk with the flour and place over medium heat until it thickens.
 
STEP 2
Let the mixture bubble while stirring continuously for 10 minutes until very thick, then add the nutmeg and salt.
 
STEP 3
Blend the cream, Kiri squares and the ricotta cheese in the mixer. Remove the milk and flour mixture from the heat, then stir cream, Kiri squares and ricotta cheese blend into the still-hot milk and flour mixture.
 
STEP 4
Pour some béchamel sauce in an ovenproof pan and place a layer of lasagna noodles over it.
 
STEP 5
Add a layer of tomato and sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan cheese on top. Repeat until the last lasagna noodle is used.

STEP 6
Finish with more béchamel sauce, then you add a last layer of mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Put the pan in the oven and bake it for 40 minutes. Remove from oven and let it cool slightly.
Garnish

Sprinkle red pepper flakes over the top of the lasagna for an added kick.
